Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Bowen (ranked 2080 p4p, 97 weight class) and Justin Case (ranked 1675 p4p, 83 weight class). Bowen comes into the arena with JPATTERSSON - Like A Hippo blaring out of the sound system. Case is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: JPATTERSSON - Lucky Man. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Case lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Bowen looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Bowen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bowen looks to land a right hand but Case moved out of range.
Case tries to bum rush Bowen with a series of wild strikes but Bowen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bowen misses with a takedown
and Case counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Case dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Case digs a good hook to Bowen's body.
Case lands a nice hook to Bowen's body. Bowen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Brandon Bowen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bowen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Case.
Case scores with a punch to the head.
Bowen misses with a lunging right hand
and Case counters with a left to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Case works Bowen's body with a nice hook.
Bowen is breathing heavily.

Case lands a left and a right that send Bowen crashing to the mat, dazed. Case thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Brandon Bowen has been cut.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Case has cracked Bowen with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Case lands another huge swinging hook and Bowen tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Bowen, before Case can land any more shots!
