Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooksbank shoots for a takedown but Assad saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Brooksbank tries to land a leg kick but Assad saw it coming and moves away.
Brooksbank goes for a double leg but Assad avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Assad continues to drive forward.
Brooksbank forces Assad back against the cage and clinches.

Assad lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Assad throws a head punch that misses.
Assad misses with the head strike.
Brooksbank tries to pull guard but Assad holds him up against the cage and eventually Brooksbank drops back down to his feet.

Assad has Brooksbank pressed against the cage, preventing Brooksbank from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Assad creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Brooksbank's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Brooksbank drops to his knees and Assad pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
