Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Matias Orava!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bussa misses the body punch
and Orava counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bussa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Orava.
Orava staying out of range there.
Orava takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Orava lands a nice hook to Bussa's body. Bussa takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bussa loads up on a big right hand but Orava slips the punch.
A left lands for Bussa.
Bussa throws a combination that misses
enabling Orava to counter with a crisp jab.
Bussa scores with a takedown into Orava's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Orava wants to get back to his feet but Bussa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Bussa throws a big elbow that misses.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Orava cracks Bussa with an open hand slap.
Bussa ducks under a wild hook from Orava.
A little feinted left hand from Bussa on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bussa. Orava does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bussa throws a lazy right hand but Orava sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Bussa changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Bussa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Orava connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Orava cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bussa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bussa fails with a takedown attempt.
Bussa takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Orava lands with a right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Orava uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bussa.

Bussa swings widly with a right hand
and Orava cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bussa is rocked!
Bussa throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Bussa darts in looking for a takedown but Orava gets double underhooks and turns Bussa into the ropes.
Bussa is breathing heavily.
Orava scores with a jab. Bussa acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Oh Bussa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Orava jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Orava closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Bussa out cold! Bussa corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Matias Orava!
