Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tom Winkle (ranked 5680 p4p, 360 weight class) and Tourn Ament (ranked 5811 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tom Winkle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tourn Ament! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ament misses with a wild body shot. Ament closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Winkle looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Winkle trying to control but Ament postures up.
Ament performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ament really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Winkle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Winkle trying to hold on to Ament's head to control him but Ament postures up.

Ament is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. It looks like Ament might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Winkle will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ament got a little sloppy there for a moment and Winkle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! Ament bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Winkle regains half guard. Ament passes to side control. Ament tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ament has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Winkle manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Winkle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Tourn Ament has got the better of the ground game so far. Tourn Ament seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ament scores with a jab to the body. Ament throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt.
