Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Simons! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Shane Brolly! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simons throws a solid leg kick but Brolly takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Simons. Simons is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Brolly's half guard. Brolly scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Simons manages to mount him!

Simons tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brolly in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Simons looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Simons seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Brolly for as long as he can get away with. Simons continues to stall. Simons putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Simons tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Brolly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Simons. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Simons is landing with some decent strikes but Brolly is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Simons takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Simons lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Simons lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Brolly defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Simons. A nice elbow there by Simons. Brolly looks winded! Simons takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Simons working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Brolly looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Simons! Submission of the night perhaps?
