The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gallagher looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Gallagher throws a push kick but Sipila slaps the foot to one side.
Gallagher looks to land a right hand but Sipila moved out of range.
Gallagher throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sipila.
Gallagher moves forwards but Sipila connects with a nice, crisp jab.

It looks like Robert Gallagher has been cut.

Gallagher rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sipila moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Sipila counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gallagher thinking.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sipila connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gallagher momentarily.

Sipila drops Gallagher with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gallagher looks back up at him and smiles so Sipila waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

That has opened up Robert Gallagher's cut even more.
Sipila dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Sipila feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gallagher sprawling to the canvas! Gallagher rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Sipila finish him?!
Robert Gallagher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
