Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Sun Ming!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Kay!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ming throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kay stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kay walks into a straight right hand from Ming.
Ming catches Kay with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kay shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Kay postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kay distracts Ming with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Kay throws a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ming working a defensive guard here.
Ming is pulling down on Kay's head. It's preventing any offense from Kay, at least for the moment.
Ming tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kay throwing strikes from guard but Ming blocks nicely.
Kay postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kay postures up and lands a big shot to Ming's brow.
Kay is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Kay stands up over Ming, holding on to his feet. Kay throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Ming is out cold! Kay lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Brandon Kay!
Brandon Kay decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
