Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vern McMann (ranked 2575 p4p, 232 weight class) and Mfer Phol (ranked 2070 p4p, 200 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mfer Phol!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phol changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Phol tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McMann manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McMann ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Phol moves away.
Phol connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McMann's hands.
Phol lands a straight punch to the body, keeping McMann at a distance.
Phol tries to clinch but McMann moves out of range.
Phol scores with a jab. McMann acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

A countering left hand to the body from Phol misses.
McMann misses with a wild body shot.
Phol lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McMann throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McMann fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Phol, pushing him back against the cage.

McMann lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Phol backwards.

Phol pushes McMann back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
McMann has Phol pressed against the cage, preventing Phol from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Phol lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, McMann creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Phol blocks a body shot from McMann.
Phol works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
McMann is breathing heavily.
Phol lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Phol lands a right hand.
McMann throws a punch but it's blocked by Phol.
A hook to the body from Phol.
Phol lands a hook that snaps the head of McMann backwards.
Phol gets through McMann's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Phol escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Phol drives through and clinches with McMann against the cage.

McMann misses with a hook from the clinch.

Phol throws a blind hook that connects with the side of McManns head.
Phol pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Phol digs a good hook to McMann's body.
Phol lands a big right hand that sends McMann crashing to the mat! Phol stays standing though and waves McMann back to his feet!
Phol drops McMann with a huge uppercut! McMann drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Phol is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mfer Phol!
