The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Duffe misses.
Duffe stuffs the takedown attempt from Joe. Joe gets slowly back to his feet.
Shane Duffe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duffe tries to bum rush Joe with a series of wild strikes but Joe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Duffe pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Joe tries to clinch there but Duffe circles away.
Duffe keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

It looks like Sloppy Joe has been cut.
Joe slips under a jab from Duffe.
Duffe misses with a straight left.
Left hook, right uppercut from Joe.
Duffe throws a left and a right that both miss
and Joe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Joe moves into range and connects with a jab.
Duffe throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Joe counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Duffe!
Joe working the ground and pound effectively.
The referee warns Duffe that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Joe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Joe lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Duffe! Joe sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Duffe and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
