Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Billy Odom (ranked 8412 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Ravenberg (ranked 5276 p4p, 0 weight class). Earl Ravenberg will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ravenberg moves into range and clinches up with Odom.
Ravenberg is trying to push Odom away but Odom has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Ravenberg pushes Odom back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Ravenberg pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Earl Ravenberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Odom feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Odom thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Odom postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Odom has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Odom distracts Ravenberg with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Ravenberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Odom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Odom tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Ravenberg manages to circle out of the way.

Odom drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ravenberg pulls his leg out and moves away.

Odom drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Odom really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Odom stands up and beckons Ravenberg to his feet.

and Odom counters with a takedown into side control.
Ravenberg tries to bench press Odom off him but Odom keeps the position.

Odom creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Ravenberg can't do much from the bottom here.
Ravenberg parries the strikes from Odom easily there. Odom is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Ravenberg to escape.

Odom lands a decent elbow from side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Odom misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Odom moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Ravenberg tries to buck Odom off but Odom is having none of it.

Odom is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Odom is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Ravenberg is trying to escape and Odom transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Ravenberg is forced to tap! Nice work there by Odom! Very nice indeed!
