Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Chaplin (ranked 1021 p4p, 131 weight class) and JJ Woods (ranked 1862 p4p, 229 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, JJ Woods!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Chaplin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Woods looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Woods can do anything to dispel that myth.

Woods has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Woods goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Chaplin swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Chaplin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Woods tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The fighters circling - Woods throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nice body kick there by Woods.
A bone on bone clash there as Chaplin blocks the leg kick.
Woods's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Chaplin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Woods scrambles back to his feet.
Chaplin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chaplin throws a solid leg kick but Woods takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Chaplin.
Chaplin takes a swing at Woods's ribcage but misses.
Woods scores with a head kick. Chaplin tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Charlie Chaplin has been cut.

Chaplin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And Woods responds with a good body kick, but Chaplin manages to step out the way in time.

Chaplin throws a hook to the side of Woods's head but Woods sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Chaplin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Woods was well out of range. Poor timing from Chaplin.

Chaplin feints and then cracks Woods's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Woods down.

Chaplin loads up on a big right hand but Woods slips the punch.

Chaplin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Woods counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Chaplin thinking.
Both fighters circling a little - Woods finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Chaplin throws out a leg kick but Woods moves out of range and Chaplin only half commits.
Woods let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Woods misses with a leg kick.
Woods bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A bone on bone clash there as Woods blocks the leg kick.
Chaplin throws a good cross that connects.
Woods scores with a jab to the jaw.
Woods throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Woods throws a body shot but no joy.
Nice uppercut lands for Woods. That snapped Chaplin's head back.

Woods pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Oh Chaplin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Woods connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Woods chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Woods circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Chaplin to the canvas! Chaplin doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Woods keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
