Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shane Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Leorock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasquez comes to the cage accompanied by Down with Shane. Shane Velasquez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mac Leorock's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Velasquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mac Leorock! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velasquez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Leorock tries to clinch up. Leorock fails in his attempt to clinch. Velasquez swats away the attempt to clinch by Leorock. Leorock tries to clinch up. Leorock stuffs the takedown attempt from Velasquez. Velasquez gets slowly back to his feet. Velasquez fails to land the takedown. Velasquez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Shane Velasquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Velasquez keeps the fight on the outside. Leorock instigates a clinch. Leorock is trying to stall.
Leorock lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leorock is pressed up against the cage. Velasquez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Leorock down to the mat. Leorock avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Velasquez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Leorock is looking to clinch. Velasquez shoots in for a double leg but Leorock sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Leorock moves in looking to clinch but Velasquez pushes him off. Velasquez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Leorock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Velasquez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Velasquez controlling the position from side mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Velasquez tries for a kimura but Leorock is defending well. Leorock is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Velasquez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Leorock knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Velasquez goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Leorock rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Velasquez's guard! Nice work there by Leorock! Leorock must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Velasquez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Leorock can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Velasquez is breathing heavily. Leorock is looking to stand up but Velasquez won't let him. Velasquez is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Leorock rolls with it to try and escape but Velasquez cranks on the arm and Leorock is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
