Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Roper!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker tries to clinch up but Roper circles away and keeps his distance.
Roper swats away the attempt to clinch by Baker.
Roper appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Baker tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Roper counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Donk. Roper catches Baker right on the button with a cross.
Roper connects with a single shot there.
Baker doesn't manage to clinch there - Roper circles away.
Roper looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Roper lands with a straight right. Baker didn't see that one coming.
Baker misses with a double jab
and Roper counters with a stiff right hand.
Baker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Roper manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Roper let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Roper throws a good cross that connects.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Roper dips to his left and cracks Baker with an uppercut!

Roper connects with a looping right hand.
Baker is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Roper avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Roper comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Roper lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Baker goes down and covers up as Roper starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brian Roper!
