Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Freddie Fulton (ranked 5473 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Banks (ranked 4323 p4p, 199 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Freddie Fulton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harry Banks!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks fails to land the takedown.
Fulton avoids the head kick by Banks.

Fulton looking to score a takedown here. Banks is defending well but Fulton drives through and ends up in Banks's guard.

Fulton stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Banks closes the distance and clinches.

Banks pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Fulton has taken the fight to the clinch.
Banks wants a takedown.
Banks has Fulton pressed against the cage, preventing Fulton from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fulton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fulton throws a right and a left that both miss.

Banks forces Fulton back against the cage and clinches.
Fulton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A shot to the body from Banks misses
and Fulton counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Banks moves into the clinch successfully.
Fulton is trying to break the clinch but Banks is controlling him.
Fulton is trying to break the clinch but Banks has him pressed against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Fulton as Banks tries to tie him up.
Fulton tries a body shot but Banks blocks it.

Banks moves into the clinch.

Fulton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Banks tries to clinch there but Fulton circles away.
Fulton throws a big counter combination but Banks scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Banks displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Fulton throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Banks tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fulton is in Banks's guard.
Fulton controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Fulton throws a big right hand that misses.
Fulton distracts Banks with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Fulton thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fulton drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Banks dives on top into guard.

Banks wants to control from the top but Fulton keeps moving.
Banks throws a big elbow that misses.
Fulton has his hands on Banks's head, controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fulton wants to sweep but no luck.
Banks slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Fulton has Banks pulled in close to control his posture.
Fulton continues to stall.
Fulton is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Banks is controlling him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Banks looking to pass the guard.
Fulton pulls Banks in close to prevent any damage.
More hug and hope from Fulton.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fulton is on top in guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Freddie Fulton will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Banks doesn't manage to clinch there - Fulton circles away.

Banks gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Fulton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Fulton is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Fulton thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Banks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fulton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Banks swivels and escapes.

Fulton closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Banks has one foot on Fulton's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Banks shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Banks is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Banks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fulton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fulton is pulling down on Banks's head. It's preventing any offense from Banks, at least for the moment.

Banks wants to control from the top but Fulton keeps moving.
Fulton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Banks is one step ahead there.
Fulton managing to control the position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Banks trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Freddie Fulton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Fulton is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Fulton is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Banks is looking to improve his position.

Fulton seems to be working for a kimura but Banks defends the submission attempt.

Fulton is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fulton connects with a nice short shot to Banks's temple.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Banks kicks off Fulton and gets to his feet.

Fulton darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Freddie Fulton will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Banks tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Banks gets through Fulton's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Banks has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Banks is trying to force a seperation but Fulton has the dominant position.
Fulton wants to break the clinch but can't.

Banks tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fulton smiles and moves away.

Fulton leaves Banks with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Banks shoots in looking for a takedown but Fulton manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Banks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Freddie Fulton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Banks.
Banks takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Fulton keeps the fight on the outside.

Fulton scores with a takedown into Banks's guard.
Fulton wants to stand but Banks has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Fulton works over Banks with some ground and pound from guard.
Fulton is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Freddie Fulton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fulton stands up and waves to Banks to follow him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Banks slaps away a takedown attempt from Fulton, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Fulton swinging wildly here.
Banks tries to clinch there but Fulton circles away.
Banks wants to clinch up but Fulton keeps it at a distance.
Fulton throws a big counter combination but Banks scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Fulton fails with the takedown

and Banks counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fulton won't be happy with that.
Banks wants to stand but Fulton has his arm trapped.
Banks wants to control but Fulton is keeping him busy.

Fulton is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Fulton makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fulton.
Fulton controlling the position.
Harry Banks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Fulton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fulton wants to sweep here but Banks controlling him for the moment.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

And that's the end of the fight!
Freddie Fulton showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fulton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
