Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pina Colada Hoi (ranked 3026 p4p, 271 weight class) and Murdo Douglass (ranked 1951 p4p, 199 weight class). Pina Colada Hoi has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pina Colada Hoi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Murdo Douglass! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoi walks into a left hand. Decent striking displayed by Douglass there. Hoi jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
A clash of legs there as Hoi blocks the low kick. A little feinted left hand from Hoi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Hoi swings and misses with a shot to the body and Douglass counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Hoi misses with a wild body shot. Douglass throws a fast counter high kick but Hoi manages to duck under it in time. Hoi throws a body shot but no joy. Douglass only half commits to the counter leg kick. Douglass walks into a left hand. Hoi lands a jab to the head.
Hoi on the wrong end of a nice jab. Hoi tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hoi looks to land a right hand but Douglass moved out of range. We've been hearing reports that Hoi has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Douglass scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Douglass throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Hoi is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Douglass lands with a good body shot. Douglass lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Douglass clinches up against the cage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Douglass. Hoi trying to stall but Douglass improves his position.
Douglass displaying some good clinch control by pressing Hoi up against the cage. Hoi drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Douglass gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hoi drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Douglass lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Hoi stalling.
Hoi gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Douglass regains guard.
Douglass pushes Hoi off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hoi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Douglass's half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hoi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Douglass's head. Douglass trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Poor strikes thrown by Hoi there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Hoi is landing with some decent strikes but Douglass is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Hoi throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Douglass avoids a series of strikes thrown by Hoi.
Hoi throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Douglass tries to lock up and control but Hoi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoi misses with some ground and pound and Douglass recovers position to half guard. Hoi throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hoi thows a huge punch but Douglass dodges it nicely.
Hoi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Douglass controlling the position for now. Hoi missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Douglass manages to get to full guard.
Hoi scoring with some ground and pound. Hoi is working Douglass over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoi trying to control but Douglass is working from the bottom. Douglass is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hoi looking to sit in guard and control but Douglass gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Douglass must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hoi tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hoi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hoi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Murdo Douglass will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Douglass is looking to clinch. Douglass ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Douglass clinches up against the cage. A short right hand to the side of the head by Douglass. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Hoi as Douglass tries to tie him up. Douglass prevents the takedown attempt.
Douglass makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Hoi slowing the pace effectively. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Douglass presses Hoi against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Douglass scores with an uppercut up the middle. Hoi goes for a takedown attempt but Douglass pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Douglass connects with an inside leg kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Douglass tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Douglass misses with a body shot.
Hoi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Douglass.
Douglass throws a half hearted mid kick. Hoi misses with a body shot.
Douglass moves into range and connects with a jab. Hoi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Douglass. Douglass buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hoi takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. The fighters circle momentarily. Douglass darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Hoi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Douglass counters with a lovely straight right hand! Douglass feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hoi sprawling to the canvas! Hoi rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Douglass finish him?!
Hoi is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Douglass scores with a body shot.
Oh Hoi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Douglass lands with a thumping leg kick.
Douglass fakes the leg kick and cracks Hoi in the body. Douglass lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hoi's sensitive parts. Hoi seems to have got his legs back now. Douglass scores with a decent looking hook. Douglass feints a jab and as Hoi dips his head, Douglass unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Hoi right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Hoi falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Douglass smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Murdo Douglass! Murdo Douglass really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Freebok (85% Laundry) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
