Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mustapha Shiit (ranked 1081 p4p, 126 weight class) and Harry Kane (ranked 933 p4p, 104 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Harry Kane!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shiit moves out of range of the strikes.
Shiit takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We've been hearing reports that Shiit has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Shiit fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kane with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Kane has taken the fight to the clinch.
Shiit jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kane walks away with a smile on his face. Shiit gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Harry Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kane throws a good cross that connects.
Kane stuffs the takedown attempt from Shiit. Shiit gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mustapha Shiit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shiit gets the takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shiit in side control lands a decent elbow.

Shiit goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kane has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Shiit but great work by Kane.

Kane remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Kane stands up.

Kane closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Shiit tries to pull guard but Kane forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Shiit jumps into guard, dragging Kane to the mat.

Shiit working for a triangle but Kane defends it easily.
Kane told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Kane got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shiit has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kane has managed to get both his arms back between Shiit's legs - danger averted.

Kane sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Shiit's guard.

Shiit looking for submissions off his back.
Kane keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Kane's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shiit is looking to control Kane's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Shiit avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shiit wants to improve his position but Kane is controlling well.

Shiit is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kane pulls his head out easily.
Shiit is looking for a sweep. Kane is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Kane moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kane scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Shiit blocks a jab.

Shiit has his takedown stuffed
and Kane connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Shiit seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Kane stuffs the takedown.
Kane misses with a left hand

and Shiit counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Kane manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shiit tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kane smiles and moves away.
Shiit darts in looking for a takedown but Kane gets double underhooks and turns Shiit into the cage.
Shiit walks into a stiff left hand from Kane.
Kane takes a swing at Shiit's ribcage but misses.
Kane scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kane thumps Shiit with a low kick.
Shiit walks into a stiff left hand from Kane.

Shiit is rocked!
BOOM! Kane lands a beautiful left hook that drops Shiit. Shiit tries to recover but Kane is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Shiit lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harry Kane!
Harry Kane is the new lightweight champion!
Harry Kane decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
