The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mate looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Smith controlling the position from side mount.
Smith in side control, throwing shots but Mate defends.
Smith tries to score with some ground and pound. Mate controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Mate is looking to reverse the position.
