Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boyd Hickman (ranked 5433 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owin Boon (ranked 25005 p4p, 0 weight class). Boon has chosen Coming Home as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Boyd Hickman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Owin Boon! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hickman did well to prevent Boon getting side control. Hickman controlling the position well. Boon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hickman's head. Hickman wants to improve his position but Boon is controlling well.

Hickman makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Boon wants to control from the top but Hickman keeps moving. Boon being controlled here momentarily. Hickman continues to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Boon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hickman circles away quickly and effectively.
Boon shoots in and bounces Hickman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hickman managing to control the position. More hug and hope from Hickman. Hickman lands an upkick as Boon stands over him. Boon trying to control the position from guard on top but Hickman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boon looks winded! Hickman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boon manages to get himself to full guard.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hickman working some strikes from top position. Boon is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hickman works over Boon with some ground and pound from guard. Hickman stopping the sweep attempt from Boon. Hickman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Boon's guard. Hickman controlling the pace. Hickman scoring with strikes to the body and head.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hickman is taking a breather. Boon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Hickman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hickman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Boon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hickman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Hickman drops an elbow to the side of Boon's head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hickman slips a nice elbow through Boon's hands, connecting with Boon's forehead. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hickman connects with a nice short shot to Boon's temple. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Boyd Hickman dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hickman looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Boon puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Hickman is positioning himself well to prevent Boon advancing to mount. Hickman tries to get to full guard but Boon has control of the leg. Boon controlling the action here. Hickman is holding on to half guard well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boon is keen to just control but Hickman is a slippery customer.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hickman is trying to stand back up but Boon is controlling him

Boyd Hickman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Boon is keen to just control but Hickman is a slippery customer. Hickman wants to get back to his feet.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Hickman gets a clinch.
Hickman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Boon loads up on a big right hand but Hickman slips the punch. Hickman tries to counter with a takedown but Boon is quick to defend against it.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Boon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Boon lands in his opponent's guard. Hickman wants to stand up but Boon is controlling him. Hickman pulls Boon in close to prevent any damage.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hickman looking for a sweep. Not yet Hickman, not yet. Hickman managing to control the position. Hickman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hickman kicks Boon off and gets to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Hickman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hickman scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Boon manages to mount him!

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hickman gets back to full guard.
Hickman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hickman has his foot on Boon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boon works his way back into a safe position though. Boon is fighting to break Hickman's control of his arms but Hickman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Boon wants to control from the top but Hickman keeps moving. Hickman is looking to stand up but Boon isn't so interested in that idea. Boon stopping the sweep attempt from Hickman.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hickman has control of Boon's left arm, preventing Boon from doing any damage. Hickman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Boon can do to turn this around? Boon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hickman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boon manages to get himself to full guard.
Hickman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hickman controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Hickman postures up and lands a big shot to Boon's brow.
And that's the end of the fight! Boyd Hickman showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hickman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
