Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jamar Wall (ranked 8269 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabrizio Rossi (ranked 5294 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jamar Wall has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jamar Wall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fabrizio Rossi!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wall closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rossi's guard.
Wall postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Wall working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Wall is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Wall wants to get up but he can't break Rossi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Wall could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Rossi darts in looking for a takedown but Wall gets double underhooks and turns Rossi into the cage.

Rossi shoots in looking for a takedown but Wall manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rossi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A counter left hand to the body from Wall misses its target.
Wall shoots for a takedown but Rossi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rossi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wall sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Wall fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rossi to the ground. Wall is now in Rossi's guard.

Wall stands up from Rossi's guard - Wall perhaps looking for a knockout.
Rossi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Wall scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wall has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wall goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Rossi rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Wall's guard! Nice work there by Rossi!

Jamar Wall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wall has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rossi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rossi stands up over Wall, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rossi stays in close to Wall's body and controls the position.

Wall is trying to control the position but Rossi postures up.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Rossi throws a left and a right that both miss
and Wall counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Rossi is breathing heavily.

We've been informed that Rossi has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Wall lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rossi at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Fabrizio Rossi will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Wall throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rossi was covering up waiting for the punch and Wall finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Wall has gone for a leg lock! Rossi slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wall's guard.

Wall wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rossi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Wall throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Rossi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Rossi shoots in for a double leg but Wall sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rossi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Rossi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wall counters with a straight right hand.
Wall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rossi is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Rossi fails with a takedown attempt.
Jamar Wall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabrizio Rossi.

and Wall counters with a right hand to the body.
Wall tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rossi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wall somewhat.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jamar Wall showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Wall has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
