Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Andre Clay (ranked 721 p4p, 29 weight class) and Lito Alcala (ranked 720 p4p, 28 weight class). Clay comes into the arena with Believe blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andre Clay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lito Alcala!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Alcala slips a straight right by Clay.
A head kick misses from Clay.
Andre Clay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clay takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Clay is looking to chop away at Alcala's legs.
Alcala connects with a body shot.
Nice straight punches there by Alcala. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Alcala.
Clay scores with a sloppy right hand. Alcala should have avoided that one.
Clay misses with a hook.
Alcala takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Alcala throws a looping overhand right but Clay ducks down to avoid it.
Clay takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Clay missing with a left hand there. Alcala was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Clay misses with a low kick.
Alcala tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Alcala throws a big shot that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alcala takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Clay throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Alcala counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Alcala.
Alcala lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Alcala lands a hook that snaps the head of Clay backwards.
Alcala lands a right hand.
Alcala lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.


Clay is rocked!
Alcala working aggressively here.
Clay fails to pull guard.
Alcala swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Alcala lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Clay.
Alcala lands a shot to the body.
Alcala lands with a left to the head.
Clay's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alcala can't find room to land a body shot as Clay controls the action.
Alcala softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Oh Clay is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Clay pulls Alcala into guard.
Alcala controls from within his opponent's guard.
Alcala is continuing to stall.
The adventures of Alcala the control monster continue. Boring.
Clay seems to have got his legs back now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alcala tries to stand but Clay is controlling from the bottom.
Alcala told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Clay controlling the position.
Clay is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Clay can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Alcala controls the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Alcala checks a leg kick.
Alcala connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Clay momentarily.
Clay misses with a hook.
Clay throws an off balance right hand
and Alcala counters with a nice uppercut.
Alcala scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Clay uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Alcala has time to react.
Clay throws an overhand right that lands on Alcala's shoulder, as Alcala tries to avoid the shot.
A low kick from Clay misses
and Alcala counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lito Alcala!
Lito Alcala decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
