Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Morgan Oneal (ranked 5433 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon OBrien (ranked 3498 p4p, 354 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Morgan Oneal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brandon OBrien! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! OBrien fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Oneal is looking to counter the offense by OBrien and move into the clinch. Oooooh!!! OBrien has knocked Oneal down with a huge combo! OBrien steps away and waves a wobbly Oneal back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Morgan Oneal has been cut. OBrien shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. OBrien showed some decent athleticism there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! OBrien looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Well, if OBrien is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's one minute gone in the round. OBrien wants to lay and pray for a moment but Oneal keeps working. OBrien is stalling here. Oneal is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! OBrien seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Oneal has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Oneal looking to punish the body of his opponent here but OBrien is avoiding damage well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on OBrien's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. OBrien manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Oneal moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Oneal could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. OBrien throws a big right hand that misses. OBrien content to stall in guard here. OBrien tries to stand but Oneal is controlling from the bottom. OBrien postures up and lands a big shot to Oneal's brow. OBrien drops back, looking for a kneebar! Oneal looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Oneal looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Oneal!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. OBrien wants to get back to his feet but Oneal drags him back down. Oneal creates some space and throws a big elbow, but OBrien sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. OBrien tries to strike from the bottom but misses. OBrien sneaks back into half guard. OBrien blocking the ground and pound attempt from Oneal. OBrien wants to get back to his feet. Oneal not landing any meaningful shots this time. OBrien looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Oneal lands a nice short elbow. OBrien is trying to control but can't.
Oneal missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. OBrien trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
OBrien gets back to half guard. OBrien is looking to control Oneal's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can OBrien avoid being mounted? Oneal knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for OBrien on the ground. OBrien has hold of Oneal's hands but Oneal slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. OBrien is looking to control Oneal's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can OBrien avoid being mounted? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brandon OBrien dominated that round. The cut man is working on Morgan Oneal's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
OBrien with a lazy takedown attempt and Oneal counters with a left and a right that stings OBrien. Oneal slaps away a takedown attempt from OBrien, before circling back to the center of the mat. OBrien throws out a powerful jab. Oneal takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Morgan Oneal is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. OBrien gets a clinch. OBrien tightens his grip and picks Oneal up, before dumping him to the ground. Oneal manages to land in guard. Oneal is working an open guard so OBrien takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Oneal dives in and scores a takedown into OBrien's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. OBrien working for a triangle but Oneal defends it easily.

OBrien is breathing heavily. OBrien is trying to improve his position. OBrien is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Oneal's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

OBrien has been the more effective fighter overall so far. OBrien wants to improve his position but Oneal is controlling well.
Nice strikes from Oneal there. OBrien has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Oneal is working away from the top position though. OBrien keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oneal not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are battling for position here. OBrien manages to regain full guard. Nice work. OBrien trying to control the position here. Oneal landing some decent shots from guard. Oneal lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. OBrien wants to sweep but no luck. Morgan Oneal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Oneal postures up in OBrien's guard and throws a big left but OBrien blocks it. OBrien is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Oneal is aware though and is defending well. Oneal has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing OBrien to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Oneal is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - OBrien pulls down on the head and he's put Oneal to sleep! This one is all over!

A very excited looking Brandon OBrien made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
