Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shoei Braz (ranked 3516 p4p, 446 weight class) and Samuel Kravac (ranked 1738 p4p, 268 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braz fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kravac to the ground. Braz is now in Kravac's guard.
Braz tries to free his leg and advance position but Kravac is retaining full guard.
Kravac looking to hit a scissor sweep but Braz is one step ahead there.
Braz drops back looking for a leg! Kravac is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kravac manages to kick Braz off! Braz jumps back into Kravac's guard.
Braz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kravac lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
My spies in NHB ACADEMY inform me that Kravac has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Kravac chips away with some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kravac is sitting in close to Braz's body. Braz has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kravac is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kravac is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Braz.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Shoei Braz!
