Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carlo Horn (ranked 5422 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valdinei Pereirinha (ranked 7610 p4p, 0 weight class). Valdinei Pereirinha has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Carlo Horn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Carlo Horn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Valdinei Pereirinha!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horn slips a jab from Pereirinha.
Pereirinha closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Pereirinha gets underhooks to prevent Horn's takedown attempt.
Horn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pereirinha tries to close the distance and clinch but Horn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Horn went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Pereirinha tries to clinch there but Horn circles away.
Pereirinha instigates a clinch.
Horn lands a nice shot to the body.
Pereirinha jumps into guard, dragging Horn to the mat.
Horn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horn would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Horn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Horn wants to get back to his feet but Pereirinha is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Horn misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Horn trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Pereirinha thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Horn is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Horn has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Can Horn hold on?! Pereirinha is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Pereirinha has his opponent's back but Horn is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Pereirinha.
Horn tries to clinch but Pereirinha is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Horn dives in and grabs Pereirinha's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pereirinha pushes down on Horn's head and hops out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Pereirinha closes the distance and clinches up with Horn, looking for a takedown. Pereirinha pushes Horn against the cage but Horn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pereirinha shoots in and bounces Horn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Horn kicks Pereirinha off and gets to his feet.
Pereirinha instigates a clinch.
Horn has clasped his hands together around Pereirinha's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pereirinha is pushing Horn's head away, looking to escape. Horn manages to hold on to the position though.

Horn stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Pereirinha swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Horn counters with a nice body shot.
Horn swats away the attempt to clinch by Pereirinha.
Horn darts in and clinches Pereirinha up against the cage.
Pereirinha ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pereirinha no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Horn is working Pereirinha over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Horn is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Pereirinha doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Horn controls from within his opponent's guard.
Horn has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Horn is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pereirinha is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pereirinha has escaped and now he's on top!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Horn will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Horn wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Pereirinha manages to pass to side control.
Horn has one foot on Pereirinha's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Pereirinha throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Horn tries to clinch but Pereirinha moves out of range.
Pereirinha wants to counter the offense by Horn and move into the clinch position.

Horn stuffs the takedown attempt from Pereirinha. Pereirinha gets slowly back to his feet.

Pereirinha misses with a double jab
and Horn counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Horn counters with a straight right hand.
Pereirinha misses with an uppercut. Horn saw that one coming.
It looked like Horn wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Pereirinha tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Horn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Horn tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pereirinha defends well and Horn ends up having to push Pereirinha into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Horn fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pereirinha to the ground. Horn is now in Pereirinha's guard.
Pereirinha has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Horn off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Horn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pereirinha shoots in but no luck this time.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Horn has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pereirinha is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Horn looking to slow down the pace here.
Horn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Pereirinha.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Horn is not content to let Pereirinha control the position.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Pereirinha avoids the strikes from the bottom by Horn.
Horn is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Pereirinha goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Horn rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Pereirinha's guard! Nice work there by Horn!

Pereirinha has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Horn doesn't defend quickly enough and Pereirinha has managed to lock this one up! Can Horn escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Pereirinha on a fantastic submission victory.
