Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Pedan (ranked 3420 p4p, 360 weight class) and Ross Buchanan (ranked 3462 p4p, 364 weight class). Buchanan has chosen Roy Buchanan's Train Blues as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pedan motions for Buchanan to come forward. Pedan throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Pedan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Pedan seems to have got his legs back now.
Pedan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Buchanan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pedan lands with a nice combination. Buchanan backs away looking to recover.

Buchanan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
