Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Kelly (ranked 1990 p4p, 297 weight class) and Fred Dursty (ranked 2796 p4p, 377 weight class). David Kelly could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Fred Dursty's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, David Kelly! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fred Dursty! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dursty tries to clinch but Kelly moves out of range. Kelly with a nice cross. Kelly ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Kelly avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kelly lands with a cross. Kelly lands with a good body shot. Dursty takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. We've been told by Kelly's head coaches at Q Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Dursty takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kelly lands a jab to the nose. Kelly dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kelly fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Dursty has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. This has been an exciting period of action! Dursty keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Dursty. Those never looked like landing. Kelly scores with a nice strike. Dursty shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kelly as he jumps to the side. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. David Kelly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dursty wants to clinch. David Kelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dursty tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kelly swivels and escapes. Dursty throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kelly lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dursty at a distance.

Kelly changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kelly slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Dursty is looking to clinch. Donk. Kelly catches Dursty right on the button with a cross. Dursty displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kelly throws out the jab. Kelly punishes Dursty's body with a nice straight punch. David Kelly is winning the standup battle so far. Kelly moves out of range of the strikes. Kelly lands a jab. Nice shot lands for Dursty. Kelly lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dursty at a distance.

Kelly wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dursty has him pressed against the cage. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Kelly here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. A head punch on the inside from Dursty fails to land. Dursty wants to take the fight to the mat but Kelly manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Kelly is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dursty can do to turn this around? Dursty misses with the head strike.

Kelly's corner calls for a 1-2. Kelly obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Kelly scores with a one two! Dursty had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Dursty takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Kelly throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dursty on the side of the head. Dursty misses with a few strikes there.
Kelly lands an overhand right. Dursty throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Durstys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Kelly lands a head shot.
Dursty is rocked! Dursty shoots in but Kelly avoids the takedown attempt easily. It looked like Kelly was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Dursty is still on wobbly legs! Can Kelly finish him? David Kelly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fred Dursty. Kelly scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Dursty seems to have recovered his senses. Kelly lands with a straight right. Dursty didn't see that one coming. Dursty tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kelly with a body punch. A glancing blow. Kelly scores with a sloppy right hand. Dursty should have avoided that one. A telegraphed right hand from Dursty misses the target. Dursty loads up on a big right hand but Kelly slips the punch. Dursty throws a series of punches but Kelly moves out of range. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dursty. Dursty is breathing heavily. A right-left combo lands from Kelly.

Kelly circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Dursty to the canvas! Dursty doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Kelly keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
