Wills comes to the cage accompanied by Shattered-by A PERFECT CIRCLE. Anderson has chosen HEADED SOUTH -by DOWN as his entrance music. Ole Anderson has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ole Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ben Watson and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wills is defended easily by Anderson.
Anderson goes for a double leg but Wills avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wills continues to drive forward.
Wills looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Wills gets the takedown into side control.

Wills is trying to get an arm triangle but Anderson is defending well.

Wills wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Anderson, who protects the arm well.
Wills advances nicely into full mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Wills goes for an armbar but Anderson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Anderson.

Wills is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wills is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wills is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Anderson defends well.

Anderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wills has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anderson has managed to get both his arms back between Wills's legs - danger averted.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Anderson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Anderson seems to be working for a kimura but Wills defends the submission attempt.
Wills is controlling Anderson's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Wills tries to roll over but Anderson keeps him under control.

Wills wants to control but Anderson postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anderson is working for a kimura but Wills is defending it quite comfortably.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Anderson is looking for a kimura but Wills is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Anderson to get the leverage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Matt Wills will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Anderson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Anderson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wills tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Anderson is in Wills's guard.

Anderson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wills is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wills has escaped and now he's on top!

Anderson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wills doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wills manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Anderson has his foot on Wills's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wills works his way back into a safe position though.

Anderson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Anderson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Wills wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Anderson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Anderson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wills is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Anderson, into his guard.

Anderson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wills escapes and throws Anderson's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Anderson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wills off and has taken his back!

Ole Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Anderson stuffs the takedown attempt from Wills. Wills gets slowly back to his feet.
Wills avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Anderson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wills.
Wills throws a lazy right hand but Anderson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Wills throws a big shot that misses.
Horrible takedown attempt by Wills or perhaps it was just good defense by Anderson, which made it look bad.
No luck for Anderson with that takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Anderson enables Wills to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Anderson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Anderson has his feet on Wills's thighs here. He's pushed Wills off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Wills screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ole Anderson!
Post fight, an emotional Ole Anderson said 'I showed yet again the Anderson's are a dynasty.....Muslim your garbage!!!,JEFF MESSER I WANT TO AVENGE MY LOSS TO YOU LET'S DO IT !!! ....ANDERSON ERA IS IN FULL EFFECT!'.
The defeated Matt Wills had this to say: 'I snorted too much whiskey and drank too much cocaine last night.....Im hitting rehab and I'll be back for your ARM!!'.
