Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ickey Woods (ranked 1714 p4p, 205 weight class) and Danilo Gentili (ranked 2596 p4p, 306 weight class). Woods comes to the cage accompanied by System of a Down- Chop Suey. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

11 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Danilo Gentili! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gentili shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Woods napping and manages to drive through into side control! Woods gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Gentili is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Woods has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gentili is working away from the top position though. Gentili is trying to work for a kimura but Woods is defending well.
Gentili missing with the ground and pound from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gentili works his foot free and advances to mount. Woods working to try and regain half guard.

Our spies down at at Jitz MMA inform us that Gentili has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Woods fending off the submission attempt from Gentili. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Woods lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Gentili shoots in and bounces Woods off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Gentili advances position into side control! Gentili thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Woods regains full guard. Nicely done. Gentili got a little sloppy there for a moment and Woods has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gentili has managed to get both his arms back between Woods's legs - danger averted. Gentili has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Woods is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gentili is aware though and is defending well. Danilo Gentili has got the better of the ground game so far. Woods is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gentili avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Gentili trying to control the position from guard on top but Woods is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Woods seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Gentili trying to control but Woods is working from the bottom. Gentili drops back looking for a leg! Woods is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Woods manages to kick Gentili off! Gentili jumps back into Woods's guard. Woods is looking for a triangle but Gentili pushes his legs off easily.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gentili is looking to work his way around to Woods's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Woods wants to control but Gentili is having none of it. Woods sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. He's got one arm under but Gentili is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Woods has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Gentili taps out!
