Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lao Khang (ranked 3503 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago DeSilva (ranked 7641 p4p, 0 weight class). Thiago DeSilva is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lao Khang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago DeSilva! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeSilva shoots in for a takedown but Khang shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. It looked like Khang was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Khang swats away the attempt to clinch by DeSilva. Khang stuffs the takedown attempt from DeSilva. DeSilva gets slowly back to his feet. Khang circles away from the clinch attempt.
Khang tries to counter with a takedown but DeSilva is quick to defend against it. Khang darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Khang working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. DeSilva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Khang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. DeSilva on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Khang works his way into side control. Khang stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khang drives through with a takedown into DeSilva's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Khang is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Khang won't allow DeSilva to get back to his feet. Khang with a nice head shot there. DeSilva wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Khang manages to pass to side control. DeSilva is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khang controlling the action here. Khang stops DeSilva from getting back to his feet.
Khang is figuring out what he wants to do next. DeSilva is trying to stand back up but Khang is controlling him
DeSilva tries to kick Khang off in order to stand up. Khang Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khang has an Americana. DeSilva didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Khang is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Khang hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Lao Khang!
