Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Sober (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sober comes to the cage accompanied by Pantera - Walk. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sober misses with a low kick as Johnson jumps back. Sober misses with an attempted mid kick.
Sober throws a right hand that Johnson ducks under and follows up with a left that Johnson also avoids with ease. Johnson tries to clinch but Sober is having none of it. Sober tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
Sober lands a nice leg kick that just misses Johnson's sensitive parts. Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Sober. Sober throws a wild body kick that Johnson sees coming a mile off. Sober fails in his attempt to clinch. Johnson tries to clinch but Sober moves away and Sober counters with a nice kick to the body. Sober misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Sober has a takedown stuffed. Johnson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Sober counters with a nice double leg into guard. Johnson looking to control.
Sober wanted to stand there but Johnson had control of the position.

Johnson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sober is controlling him. Johnson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sober stops Johnson from standing up. Sober gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Sober tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Johnson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sober's guard now. Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sober is keeping the position for now. Johnson stopping the sweep attempt from Sober. That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Sober working for a triangle but Johnson defends it easily.
Sober is breathing heavily. Johnson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Sober preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Johnson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Sober tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Johnson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson grinds an elbow into Sober's temple. Johnson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johnson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Sober tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Johnson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jason Johnson will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Sober shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnson as he jumps to the side. Sober tries to clinch up. Johnson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Both fighters circling a little - Sober finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Sober rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Sober looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Johnson. Sober misses with a low kick. Johnson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sober throws a solid leg kick but Johnson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Sober. Dylan Sober seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sober throws a one two combo.
Sober tries to clinch up and Johnson moves into the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nice takedown defense from Sober. No joy for Johnson on that attempt. Dylan Sober has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Johnson. Sober clinches but Johnson breaks the clinch and Johnson counters with an outside leg kick.
Sober misses with a kick to the body and Johnson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Johnson wants to clinch but Sober slips to the side and Sober counters with a left and a right that stings Johnson. Sober fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sober looks to land a body kick but Johnson moved away. Sober is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Johnson wants to clinch up but Sober keeps it at a distance. Sober swings and misses with a shot to the body and Johnson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Johnson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sober fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Johnson prevents Sober from breaking the clinch. Sober tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Johnson just stands there and leans against the cage.

Johnson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Johnson wants to stand but Sober has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Sober wants to sweep here but Johnson controlling him for the moment. Johnson trying to control but Sober is working from the bottom. Johnson sitting in guard, not really doing much. Johnson lands a couple of digs. Johnson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Johnson landing some decent shots from guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Johnson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sober is just riding it out for now. Johnson eventually gives up the hold. Johnson wants to take a breather but Sober is having none of it. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sober as he jumps to the side. Sober wants to clinch but Johnson slips to the side and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sober won't be happy with that. Sober sneaks back into half guard. Johnson prevents Sober from standing back up.

Sober fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sober feints and as Johnson raises his hands in defense, Sober changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet. Sober tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard. Johnson is trying to keep Sober in close.
Sober has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Johnson is proving hard to escape from. Sober wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. Johnson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Sober fakes the leg kick and cracks Johnson in the body. Sober throws a right and a left that both miss. Sober throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sober off to one side. Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Sober circles away.

Johnson swings for the body but Sober moves out of range.
Johnson lands a jab to Sober's midsection. Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Johnson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Johnson clinches up against the cage. Sober wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sober is pressed up against the cage. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sober down to the mat. Sober avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Johnson keeps the fight on the outside. Sober connects with a solid leg kick. Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Dylan Sober has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Johnson. Johnson is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted. Sober takes a swing at Johnson's ribcage but misses. Sober scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Sober misses with a double jab
and Johnson counters with a leg kick. Sober lands with a kick to the ribs.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sober.
Sober shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sober quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Sober but it's paid off an Johnson is forced to tap! Nice work by Sober.
