Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronie Cash (ranked 2740 p4p, 280 weight class) and Borys Hund (ranked 3334 p4p, 335 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronie Cash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Borys Hund!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cash tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hund was well out of range. Poor timing from Cash.
Hund closes the distance and clinches up with Cash, looking for a takedown. Hund pushes Cash against the cage but Cash circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hund closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hund lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Cash controlling the position.

Hund avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cash utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hund drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cash dives on top into guard.


Hund looking for subs off his back but Cash has passed one foot through into half guard.
Hund wants to control but Cash is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Hund is looking to improve his position.

Hund looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Hund works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hund wants to stand up but Cash is controlling him.
Cash's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Hund is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cash is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hund has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cash can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cash slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Hund can't do much from the bottom here.
Hund is working to avoid the ground and pound but Cash connects with a decent elbow.
Hund is looking to regain half guard here but Cash keeps moving and retains side control.
Hund wants to control but Cash postures up.
Cash is staying tight to Hund's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Cash lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hund down.
Hund stops Cash from passing to mount.

Cash tries for a kimura but Hund is defending well.

Hund is looking to regain half guard here but Cash keeps moving and retains side control.
Hund gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Hund is looking to control Cash's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hund avoid being mounted?

Hund working a defensive guard but Cash manages to pass into side control anyway.

Cash definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Cash is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hund knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Hund tries to bench press Cash off him but Cash keeps the position.
Hund is letting Cash control him for a moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hund is not content to let Cash control the position.

Cash is trying to get an arm triangle but Hund is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ronie Cash dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Hund fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Cash fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hund manages to avoid it.
Cash swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cash looks to land a right hand but Hund moved out of range.
Borys Hund is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hund dives in for a single leg takedown but Cash sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Cash throws a series of punches but Hund avoids them all with ease.
Hund doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Cash counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ronie Cash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Borys Hund.
Cash lands a head shot.
Hund takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Cash stuffs the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cash.
Hund takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Hund takes a kick to the side of the head.
Cash is looking to wear down Hund with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hund shoots in for a takedown but Cash shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Cash feinted with a counter takedown.
Hund will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hund takes a shot right to the bread basket.

and Cash counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Cash throws a shot to the body.
Cash scores with a hook to the body. Hund takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Cash scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Hund fails with a takedown attempt.
Hund has his takedown stuffed
and Cash counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ronie Cash is winning the standup battle so far.
Cash misses the shot to the body.
Cash moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Hund throws a series of punches but Cash moves out of range.
Hund closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Cash counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Cash connects with a nice looking jab.
Hund shoots in for a takedown but Cash shows good takedown defense.
An attempted straight right counter from Cash misses the target.
Cash looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Hund gets a takedown into half guard.
Hund tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cash knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Cash keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Ronie Cash overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Cash gets full guard.
Cash is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cash wants to pass the guard but Hund is defending well.
Hund is trying to control but can't.
Cash passes to side control.
Cash trying to control the position but Hund is working away.
Hund is letting Cash control him for a moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hund is looking for a sweep.
Hund is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Cash is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hund regains half guard.

Cash is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hund has managed to free his arm - good work.
Cash prevents Hund from improving his position.
Hund wants to control but Cash passes into side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ronie Cash dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Hund tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cash sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hund somewhat.
Hund shoots and misses

and Cash counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cash.
Hund keeping moving, preventing Cash from controlling successfully.
Cash is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Cash advances to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cash is looking to advance position but Hund won't allow it.

Cash is just content to waste time from the top position. Hund takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Cash is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hund doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cash.

Hund gets back to full guard.
Cash stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hund swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hund working for a triangle but Cash defends it easily.

Cash drops back looking for a leg! Hund is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hund manages to kick Cash off! Cash jumps back into Hund's guard.
Cash passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Cash tries for a kimura but Hund is defending well.
Hund manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Ronie Cash is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Hund tries to get to full guard but Cash has control of the leg.
Cash is pressing down on Hund's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hund is holding on for now.
Hund tries to roll over but Cash keeps him under control.
Hund throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cash not doing much here.

Hund is defending against the submission attempts here by Cash.
Cash perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Borys Hund has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Ronie Cash showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Cash has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
