PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Moese Daldo (ranked 2672 p4p, 307 weight class) and Andre Valentino (ranked 3149 p4p, 342 weight class). Daldo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Made To Be Legends. Moese Daldo could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Andre Valentino's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andre Valentino!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daldo slips under a jab.
Daldo half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
A slow jab from Valentino misses its intended target.
Valentino jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Daldo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Valentino.
Valentino fails to land with a series of punches.
Valentino throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Daldo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Valentino looks to score with a jab to the body but Daldo is just out of range.
Valentino throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Valentino looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Valentino misses with a two punch combination.

Daldo forces Valentino back against the cage and clinches.
Valentino misses with a short punch on the inside.

Valentino has clasped his hands together around Daldo's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Valentino with the ground and pound but Daldo regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Valentino looks to land a strike but Daldo avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Daldo seems keen to control Valentino's posture.
Valentino must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Valentino throws a strike but Daldo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Daldo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Valentino has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Daldo has passed into side control.

Valentino is trying to control Daldo's posture but Daldo avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Daldo manages to capitalize on a mistake by Valentino to take his back!
Valentino looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Valentino is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Daldo is staying active.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Valentino is trying to stand back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Daldo really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Valentino.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Andre Valentino will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Daldo darts in looking for a takedown but Valentino gets double underhooks and turns Daldo into the cage.
Valentino lands a lovely overhand right.
Daldo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

It looked like Daldo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Valentino ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Daldo moves away.
Valentino takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Valentino is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Daldo.

Daldo instigates a clinch.
Daldo keeps control of Valentino as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Valentino is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Daldo looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Daldo pulls guard effortlessly.
Moese Daldo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Daldo is adopting a defensive guard.
Valentino wants to pass the guard but Daldo is keeping the position.

Valentino sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Daldo doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Valentino paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Daldo - great work!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Moese Daldo!
In his post fight interview, Moese Daldo started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
