Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Grazie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Crump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grazie comes to the cage accompanied by Randy Edelman, Trevor Jones - Promontory. Jason Crump acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fabio Grazie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Crump!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crump is looking to slow Grazie down with leg kicks.
A nice leg kick lands there from Crump.
Grazie is breathing heavily.
Crump is looking to slow Grazie down with leg kicks.
Crump comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Crump. That's going to slow Grazie down.
Crump scores with a shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grazie takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Crump misses with a head kick.
Jason Crump seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crump scores with a one two! Grazie had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Crump lands a head kick. Grazie smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Crump will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Crump moves into range and clinches up with Grazie.
Crump has Grazie pressed against the cage.

Crump breaks from the clinch.

Crump shoots in and bounces Grazie off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Crump pushing down on Grazie's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Crump in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crump uses his free foot to push down on Grazie's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Grazie.
Crump takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Crump closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Grazie to the mat! Grazie manages to get full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Crump pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Crump stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

That's time! Grazie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Crump throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Grazie displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Crump throws out the jab.
Crump throws a right and a left that Grazie avoids nicely.

Crump drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Crump is stalling in the full guard.
Crump trying to control the position from guard on top but Grazie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Crump sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Grazie's guard.

Crump is trying to control. Grazie wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Grazie gets back to full guard.
Crump is stalling in the full guard.

Grazie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Crump advances position into side control!
Grazie tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Crump wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Grazie is not content to let Crump control the position.

Grazie is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Crump's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Grazie is trying to get back to full guard.
Crump wants to get back to his feet.

Grazie looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Crump keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Crump prevents Grazie from improving his position.
Crump performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Crump has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Crump is working for a kimura but Grazie is defending it quite comfortably.

Jason Crump showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Crump lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

and Crump counters with a body kick.

Crump feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Crump stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Crump has managed to clinch.
Grazie tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Crump just stands there and leans against the cage.

Crump works his way into full mount!
Grazie sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Fabio Grazie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Crump has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
