The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tye misses with a two punch combination.
Tye displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

It looks like Jorge Cordes has been cut.
Cordes is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cordes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Murray Tye seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cordes darts in and clinches Tye up against the cage.
Tye fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Tye wants to break the clinch but can't.

Cordes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tye.

Cordes shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cordes showed some decent athleticism there.

Cordes gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Cordes drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tye pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tye scores with the left hand. Cordes knows he should have avoided that one.

Tye loads up on a big right hand but Cordes slips the punch.

Tye misses with a wild combination.
Tye throws a looping overhand right but Cordes ducks down to avoid it.
Tye looks to throw the jab but Cordes is out of range.
Cordes takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Cordes slips a straight right by Tye.
A jab from Tye misses.
Cordes shoots for a double leg takedown but Tye sprawls well. He's pushed Cordes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tye stuffs the takedown attempt from Cordes. Cordes gets slowly back to his feet.

Tye walks forward, straight into a front kick from Cordes.
