Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Because I Can (ranked 1983 p4p, 179 weight class) and Kern Dignity (ranked 3406 p4p, 271 weight class). Dignity has chosen Party & Bullshit as his entrance music. Because I Can has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Because I Can!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kern Dignity!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dignity keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

I Can closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dignity's guard.
Dignity is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
I Can is looking to pass into half guard but Dignity pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Dignity is in guard.

Dignity is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
I Can is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I Can looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dignity postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dignity avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

I Can throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Dignity would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Dignity slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
I Can controls Dignity momentarily but Dignity frees himself.
Dignity preventing the sweep.
Dignity postures up in I Can's guard and throws a big left but I Can blocks it.
Dignity tries to stand but I Can is controlling from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jab by Dignity.
Dignity takes one on the chin but seems OK.
I Can fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dignity avoids it really well and circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dignity misses with a body kick.
I Can rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dignity counters with a two punch combo.
Sloppy strikes from I Can. Those never looked like landing.
Some wild striking there from Dignity.
Dignity fakes high and swings low for a body shot but I Can manages to avoid it.
Dignity tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

I Can shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Dignity wants to get back to his feet but I Can passes into half guard.

I Can throwing shots but Dignity is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
I Can is looking to take a break and control but Dignity is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dignity is trying to maintain the position but I Can is very close to passing his half guard.
Dignity is trying to defend against the ground and pound but I Can scores with a couple of nice shots.
I Can prevents Dignity from improving his position.

I Can is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
I Can sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dignity defending well though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kern Dignity will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


A left lands for I Can.
I Can lands a right hook to the body.
Dignity uses good head movement to avoid the hook from I Can.
I Can misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dignity slaps away a takedown attempt from I Can, before circling back to the center of the mat.
I Can fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Because I Can. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dignity throws out a loose jab but I Can uses good head movement to avoid it.
I Can looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dignity is fending him off so far but I Can persists. Nope, Dignity circles away and we're back to standing.
Dignity misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
I Can shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dignity as he jumps to the side.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for I Can, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
I Can looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
I Can shoots in for a takedown but Dignity shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
I Can throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Dignity just misses with a punch to the body.
I Can swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
I Can uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dignity.

I Can drives through with a takedown into Dignity's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Dignity seems keen to control I Can's posture.
I Can sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dignity's guard.
I Can seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dignity does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
I Can wants to free his trapped foot but Dignity is holding on for dear life with his legs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
I Can trying to control from Dignity's half guard. Dignity has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Dignity working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from I Can.
I Can pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dignity is keeping the position for now.
I Can trying to control but Dignity is working from the bottom.
Dignity avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dignity seems keen to control I Can's posture.
I Can stands and throws Dignity's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Because I Can overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
I Can is looking to take a break and control but Dignity is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
I Can looks up at the clock and then as Dignity takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, I Can smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
I Can throws an elbow but Dignity slips to the side and avoids it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dignity is trying to work for a sweep but I Can has mounted him!

I Can has control of Dignity's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dignity regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dignity wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by I Can.
I Can misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Dignity takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! I Can's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Because I Can!
