Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Pew (ranked 3729 p4p, 347 weight class) and Travis Roma (ranked 5620 p4p, 459 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, The Pew! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Travis Roma! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roma is looking to slow Pew down with leg kicks. Pew closes the distance looking to clinch and Roma counters with a one-two to the body. Pew darts in looking for a takedown but Roma gets double underhooks and turns Pew into the cage. Pew darts in looking for a takedown but Roma gets double underhooks and turns Pew into the cage. Roma displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pew. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The Pew. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pew misses with a takedown attempt and Roma counters with a lovely straight right hand! Pew looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Roma! Roma throws Pew to one side and escapes! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pew looking to score a takedown here. Roma is defending well but Pew drives through and ends up in Roma's guard. Pew wants to control from the top but Roma keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pew stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roma swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pew is working hard here to advance position. Pew trying to control but Roma is working from the bottom. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Roma looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pew is one step ahead there. Roma keeping moving, preventing Pew from controlling successfully.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pew misses with a takedown and Roma counters with a nice low kick that buckles Pew's knee momentarily. Roma's coach down at Jitsu Jim was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Roma's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. A lazy left from Roma finds it's target.
It looks like The Pew has been cut. Pew shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Roma connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Pew gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Roma counters with a crisp right hand that drops Pew! Roma lets Pew back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Pew is rocked! Pew is breathing heavily. Pew with a poor takedown and Roma counters with a huge left! Pew is in big trouble! He's backing up but Roma isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Pew from any more damage. A dominating finish by Roma!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Travis Roma! Our winner, Travis Roma, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
