Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cedric Armstrong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Wu! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armstrong throws a one two combo.
Wu gets the takedown into side control. Wu wants to stand but Armstrong is controlling his arm. Armstrong regains half guard. Wu landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Wu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Armstrong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Armstrong trying to control from the bottom.
Wu looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Armstrong moves into full guard.
Armstrong looking for a sweep. Not yet Armstrong, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wu can do anything to dispel that myth. Armstrong drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Armstrong jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Armstrong working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Armstrong drops back looking for a leg! Wu is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wu manages to kick Armstrong off! Armstrong jumps back into Wu's guard. Armstrong missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wu is looking to sweep but instead, Armstrong has passed into half guard.

Armstrong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wu is trying to get back to full guard. Armstrong is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Wu trying to get back to full guard but Armstrong takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Armstrong looking for a guillotine from mount but Wu is having none of it. Armstrong is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Wu can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Armstrong wants to finish this one by submission but Wu is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Armstrong. Armstrong has isolated one of Wu's arms. Wu looking to fight him off but Armstrong twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
