Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mateusz Biernat (ranked 7704 p4p, 540 weight class) and Fireball Kid (ranked 23778 p4p, 577 weight class). Biernat's entrance music is I CAN!. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid lands with an uppercut that bounces Biernat off the cage and back into range.
Biernat instigates a clinch.
Biernat stalls.
Biernat lands with a right to the head.
Kid wants to take the fight to the mat but Biernat manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Biernat lands a nice uppercut.
It looks like Fireball Kid has been cut.
Biernat digs a right hand into Kid's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kid's gas tank.
Biernat manages to break the clinch.

and Kid counters with a shoot takedown. Biernat fights it but they end up in guard.
Biernat pushes Kid off and scrambles back to his feet.

and Kid decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Biernat's guard.

Biernat has an active guard here but Kid has managed to pass into half guard.
Kid seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Biernat does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Kid throws a body shot but no joy.

and Kid counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Biernat is looking to stand back up but Kid counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Biernat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Biernat tries to lock up and control but Kid gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kid is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Biernat can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Biernat is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Kid locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Biernat is forced to tap!
