1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander osth! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zerynchuk looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Zerynchuk drops back, looking for a kneebar! osth looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. osth looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from osth! Zerynchuk manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Zerynchuk looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. osth takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. osth missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zerynchuk is staying active underneath osth, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Zerynchuk looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Zerynchuk could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Zerynchuk actively working from the bottom here. osth is keen to just control but Zerynchuk is a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Zerynchuk slips a jab and a cross from osth.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. osth is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Zerynchuk is pressing down on osth's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Zerynchuk working for a triangle but osth defends it easily.
Zerynchuk looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! osth has picked Zerynchuk up and slammed him! Zerynchuk can't keep hold of the triangle and osth manages to pass to side control! Zerynchuk sneaks back into half guard. Zerynchuk actively working from the bottom here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. osth frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

osth with a poor takedown and Zerynchuk decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in osth's guard. osth tries to land a sweep but no joy. Zerynchuk pushing down on osth's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Zerynchuk seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. osth is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
