Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ippo Makunouchi (ranked 8223 p4p, 270 weight class) and Tim Pigeon (ranked 5398 p4p, 226 weight class). Makunouchi comes to the ring accompanied by Under Star. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makunouchi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pigeon lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pigeon, as that shot connected.

Pigeon lands with a good body shot.
Makunouchi is breathing heavily.

Pigeon dips to his left and cracks Makunouchi with an uppercut!

Makunouchi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Pigeon works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Makunouchi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Makunouchi drops his hands momentarily and Pigeon takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Makunouchi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Makunouchi takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Makunouchi seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
We've been informed that Pigeon has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Pigeon lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
