Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angel Childress (ranked 1993 p4p, 193 weight class) and Jake Woods (ranked 1065 p4p, 107 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Childress might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eighth of sticky gooey-by MAC MAL. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Woods!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Darius Henderson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Childress's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Woods connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Childress scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Angel Childress has been cut.
Woods lands a right hook to the body.
Childress shoots in for a takedown but Woods shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Woods! But no joy.
Woods's coach down at Damage Inc. was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Woods's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Woods cracks Childress with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Woods sends Childress crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Woods is motioning to the referee to let Childress up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Childress is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Childress drops his hands momentarily. Woods doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Childress staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Childress doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jake Woods!
Jake Woods bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
