The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson scores with a jab to the head.
Jackson lands with a straight right. Cope didn't see that one coming.
Cope forces Jackson back against the cage and clinches.
Cope has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jackson uses from the top position.
Jackson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jackson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cope at a distance.

Jackson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Jackson misses with a series of wild punches.
Jackson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cope looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jackson is fending him off so far but Cope persists. Nope, Jackson circles away and we're back to standing.

Jackson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Cope has a takedown stuffed.
Roosevelt Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Cope.
Jackson cracks Cope with a big right hand and Cope goes down!
Cope is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jackson stands up and waves to Cope to follow him.
Cope is still on wobbly legs! Can Jackson finish him?
Jackson cracks Cope with a left hook right on the temple and Cope goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Jackson lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Cope is OK!
