Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Boortz!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boortz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice body punch from Boortz.
Mitchell throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Boortz slips under a jab from Mitchell.
Oooooh!!! Mitchell has knocked Boortz down with a huge combo! Mitchell steps away and waves a wobbly Boortz back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Mark Boortz has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mitchell walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Johnson Mitchell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mitchell misses with a looping left.
Boortz throws a looping overhand right but Mitchell ducks down to avoid it.
Boortz turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Boortz punishes Mitchell's body with a nice straight punch.
Boortz throws a leg kick which misses Mitchell's front leg but catches the back leg as Mitchell tries to avoid it.
Mitchell ducks under a wild hook from Boortz.
Boortz feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mitchell's calf.
Mitchell swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Boortz counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Boortz walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mitchell checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Mitchell throws a jab when Boortz was well out of range.
Boortz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mitchell.
Boortz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mitchell.
Mitchell dodges the punch combination from Boortz.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mitchell misses with a wild combination.
Some bone on bone action there as Mitchell checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Mitchell misses with a double jab
and Boortz counters with a nice uppercut.
Mitchell looks to throw the jab but Boortz is out of range.
Mitchell swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Mitchell swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Boortz counters with a straight right hand.
Mitchell throws an off balance right hand
and Boortz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Boortz lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Mitchell is breathing heavily.
A clash of legs there as Mitchell blocks the low kick.
Mitchell throws an overhand right that lands on Boortz's shoulder, as Boortz tries to avoid the shot.
Boortz cracks Mitchell with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Boortz has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Mitchell to stand back up!
Mitchell is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mitchell shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Boortz eats them both and turns towards Mitchell to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Oh Mitchell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mitchell gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Boortz gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Mitchell is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Boortz!
The defeated Johnson Mitchell had this to say: 'Dear Fans, I clearly am injured. That's the only way he could win. He's a chump. '.
