Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Biff Raper (ranked 2389 p4p, 219 weight class) and Armand Kouyate (ranked 3849 p4p, 328 weight class). The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kouyate takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Kouyate ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Kouyate has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Raper misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

It seemed like Kouyate was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Kouyate clinches up with Raper and pushes him back against the cage.
Raper's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A jab lands there for Kouyate.

Raper lands with an uppercut that bounces Kouyate off the cage and back into range.

Kouyate might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Kouyate lands a nice shot that snaps Raper's head back.
Raper tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Raper lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kouyate or not.

Kouyate's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Raper is leaning against Kouyate and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Raper breaks the clinch.
Raper swings for the body but Kouyate moves out of range.
Kouyate misses with a hook
and Raper connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Raper drops Kouyate with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kouyate looks back up at him and smiles so Raper waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Kouyate is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Raper lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Kouyate up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Raper from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Kouyate's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Biff Raper!
