Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lu Hao (ranked 1167 p4p, 120 weight class) and Gary Tonon (ranked 1315 p4p, 132 weight class). Tonon has chosen What About Now as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tonon looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Hao fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tonon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
That kick from Hao tenderised Tonon's leg. Tonon is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hao lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hao takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Tonon gets a clinch.
Hao breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tonon has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Tonon jumps guard and drags Hao to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Hao wanted to stand there but Tonon had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tonon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hao defends well.
