Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leo Stokes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Samuel Stove!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stokes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stove's guard.
Stove not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Stove tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Stove is trying to control the position but Stokes postures up.

Stove working for submissions but it's allowed Stokes to get to half guard.
Stove flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Stokes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stove keeps working.

Stove is defending against the submission attempts here by Stokes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stokes is thwarting Stove's attempts to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stove is controlling Stokes's trapped leg to prevent Stokes from advancing to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stove looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Stokes is keen to just control but Stove is a slippery customer.
Stokes lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Stokes wants to work for an arm triangle but Stove is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Stove is refusing to be controlled, as Stokes sits in half guard.

Stokes is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Stove has managed to free his arm - good work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Stove manages to get to full guard.
Stove wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Stokes manages to pass to side control.

Stokes is working for an americana but Stove has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Stokes was thinking about the submission.
Stove pulls Stokes in close to his closed guard and prevents Stokes from doing any damage or advancing position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stove trying to keep a closed guard but Stokes is proving a slippery customer.

Stove has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Stokes should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Stove has tightened it up now! Stokes should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
