Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rigoberto Gonzales (ranked 6796 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clarence Williams (ranked 5179 p4p, 0 weight class). Clarence Williams is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rigoberto Gonzales! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Clarence Williams! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams shoots in and gets a takedown into Gonzales's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Williams working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Gonzales wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Williams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Williams won't allow Gonzales to sweep him here. Gonzales pulls Williams in to control the position. Gonzales pushes Williams off and scrambles back to his feet.
Gonzales scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Gonzales takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Gonzales changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Williams looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gonzales tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Williams tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Gonzales fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Williams sprawls well initially but Gonzales persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Gonzales is looking for a kimura here.

Gonzales stands up out of the half guard. Gonzales drives through with a takedown into guard. Gonzales wants to get up but he can't break Williams's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Gonzales stands up from guard. Let's bang! Gonzales shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Williams pinned against the cage. Williams gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The fight moves into the clinch position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams has hold of one of Gonzales's legs. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gonzales wants to get back to his feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gonzales. Gonzales looks up at the clock and then as Williams takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gonzales smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Williams tries to free his leg and advance position but Gonzales is retaining full guard. Williams stopping the sweep attempt from Gonzales. Gonzales controlling the position. Gonzales lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Our spies down at at Cozad MMA London inform us that Williams has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Williams trying to control the position.
Gonzales stands up from Williams's guard - Gonzales perhaps looking for a knockout. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Williams. Williams throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Gonzales counters with a nice body kick. Gonzales feints and as Williams raises his hands in defense, Gonzales changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Williams looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Williams is trying to control the position but Gonzales postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gonzales wants to stand and escape but instead Williams has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Williams stops Gonzales from standing up. Williams preventing the sweep. Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Gonzales is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Williams wants to stand but Gonzales is controlling his posture from full guard. Williams avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Williams trying to control but Gonzales is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Rigoberto Gonzales showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gonzales, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
