Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luke Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Austin has chosen Linkin Park - Bleed It Out as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Luke Robinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darren Austin! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Austin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Robinson tries to clinch there but Austin circles away.
Robinson misses with the combination.
Austin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Robinson swivels and escapes. Robinson moves into the clinch successfully.
Austin breaks from the clinch.
Robinson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Austin pulls Robinson in to control the position. Austin wriggles free and stands up. Robinson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Austin circles away quickly and effectively. Austin misses with a takedown attempt and Robinson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Austin thinking. Austin wants to clinch. Austin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robinson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Robinson is trying to control Austin's posture but Austin avoids it. Robinson is not content to let Austin control the position. Austin in side control, just content to control the action for now. Let's hope that Austin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Robinson is trying to get back to his feet. Austin tries for a kimura but Robinson is defending well. Austin fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Robinson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Robinson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Austin keeps working. Austin tries to get back to half guard but can't. Robinson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Robinson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Austin with a lazy takedown attempt and Robinson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Luke Robinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darren Austin. Austin is trying to control the position but Robinson postures up. Robinson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Robinson wants to control from the top but Austin keeps moving. Robinson stays in close to Austin's body and controls the position. Robinson wants to get up but he can't break Austin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Robinson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Austin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Austin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Robinson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Austin. Robinson has had enough of the clinch but Austin keeps him there for the moment. Robinson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Robinson wants to stand and escape but instead Austin has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Austin trying to control but Robinson is working from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Robinson shoots in for a double leg but Austin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Austin. Austin is breathing heavily. A combination from Robinson does no damage. Robinson swinging wilding here.

Austin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Austin tries to clinch up and Robinson counters with a left and a right that stings Austin. Robinson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Austin swats him away and circles back towards the center. Luke Robinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Austin throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robinson scores with a one two! Austin had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Austin circles away from the clinch attempt.

Robinson wants to clinch up but Austin keeps it at a distance. Robinson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Robinson tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Robinson tries to stand but Austin is controlling his head. Robinson tries to advance to mount but Austin denies him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Austin is looking to reverse the position. Austin is not content to let Robinson control the position. Robinson working away. Robinson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close second round but I would say that Luke Robinson will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Robinson tries to get out of the position. Robinson tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Darren Austin. Well Robinson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
