Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cody Kessinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kessinger comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Push Me-50 Cent. Williams comes into a darkened arena with his song building. You're Going Down by Sick Puppies kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Cody Kessinger could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Chris Williams's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cody Kessinger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Williams! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kessinger gets the takedown into side control. Williams is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kessinger has just dragged him back down to the mat. Williams manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Williams works his way to full guard. Good work. Kessinger works a leg free and moves into half guard. Williams is looking to improve his position.
Williams pushes Kessinger off looking to stand but Kessinger dives back in and keeps control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kessinger scores with a three punch combo!

Kessinger fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Williams sprawls well initially but Kessinger persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Williams is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kessinger misses with a takedown attempt and Williams counters with a straight right hand. Williams shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kessinger decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Williams's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams wriggles free and stands up. Kessinger shoots and misses and Williams counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Williams. Kessinger drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Williams gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Williams breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Williams throws a series of punches but Kessinger avoids them all with ease. Kessinger has his takedown stuffed and Williams counters with a straight right hand. Williams throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

Kessinger is trying to get an arm triangle but Williams is defending well. Williams is pushing Kessinger's head away, looking to escape. Kessinger manages to hold on to the position though. Williams is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kessinger connects with a decent elbow. Williams sneaks out the side door and pushes Kessinger away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Williams shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kessinger's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kessinger is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams stands up from guard. Let's bang! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cody Kessinger dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kessinger fails with the takedown and Williams counters by moving into the clinch. Kessinger has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Williams avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Williams scores with a hook to the body. Williams lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kessinger backwards. Williams lands a left hand.
Kessinger jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Williams walks away with a smile on his face. Kessinger gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cody Kessinger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kessinger gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Williams moves into the clinch. Williams stalling the fight.
Williams decides to pull guard. Williams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kessinger's guard. Williams stands up over Kessinger, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Williams decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kessinger, up you get!

Kessinger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Williams is trying desperately to improve position. Kessinger pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Williams wants to control but Kessinger is having none of it. Kessinger is going olschool here, as he tries to force Williams to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Williams shrugs it off.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Williams is trying to stand up. Williams is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Williams is looking to get to half guard. Kessinger lands a big elbow. Williams is working to get back to half guard.
Kessinger can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Williams is looking to escape. Kessinger avoids the attempt from Williams to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Williams throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kessinger scores with a takedown into Williams's guard. Kessinger tries to free his leg and advance position but Williams is retaining full guard. Williams manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kessinger manages to get himself to full guard.

He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Kessinger throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Williams's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Williams lands with a slapping head kick. Williams throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kessinger. Kessinger tries for a takedown but Williams circles away easily and Williams holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams is pressed up against the cage. Kessinger has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Williams down to the mat. Williams avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cody Kessinger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Williams throws a right hand that Kessinger ducks under and follows up with a left that Kessinger also avoids with ease. Williams tries to clinch but Kessinger moves out of range. Kessinger tries to clinch and Williams counters with a one-two to the body. Kessinger looks to score with a jab to the body but Williams is just out of range. Kessinger dodges the punch combination from Williams.

and Kessinger counters with a nice double leg into guard. Kessinger really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kessinger not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Williams has one foot on Kessinger's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Williams fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kessinger with a lazy takedown attempt and Williams counters with a three punch combo that has Kessinger backing up. Kessinger nods at Williams to acknowledge the strikes. Williams closes the distance but Kessinger moves to the side and Kessinger counters with a takedown into side control. Williams tries to strike but it doesn't land. Kessinger stands up and we're back to a striking position. Kessinger tries for a takedown but Williams circles away easily and Williams makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Cody Kessinger showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kessinger has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
