Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hank Lombard (ranked 3140 p4p, 411 weight class) and Chris Severn (ranked 2666 p4p, 363 weight class). Lombard comes to the cage accompanied by Shinedown - Sound Of Madness . Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Hank Lombard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
34 - 36 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Severn! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lombard fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Severn checks the leg kick. Lombard tries to clinch up but Severn circles away and keeps his distance. Lombard misses with a low kick as Severn jumps back. Severn uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lombard. Severn throws a big counter head kick but Lombard avoids it with no problem. Severn throws a head kick but Lombard moves out of range.

Severn checks a leg kick. Severn wants to counter with a clinch but Lombard pushes him away. A nice leg kick lands there from Lombard. Severn throws a head kick but Lombard moves out of range.
Lombard tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Severn appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Lombard misses with a body kick. Lombard definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lombard throws a low kick, looking for Severn's leg but Severn calmly moves out of range. Lombard tries to land a leg kick but Severn saw it coming and moves away.
A jab from Lombard does it's job there. Lombard lands a lovely overhand right. Lombard shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Severn manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lombard is looking to advance position but Severn has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Severn trying to control but he's not successful this time. Lombard has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Severn's lack of action.
Lombard wants to get back to full guard. Severn with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Severn working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Lombard's thigh. Lombard counters though and makes it back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Severn looking to sit in guard and control but Lombard gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lombard sitting in guard, not really doing much. Lombard trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Severn is looking to stand up but Lombard isn't so interested in that idea. Severn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lombard is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Severn is adopting a defensive guard. Lombard slips nicely into half guard. Severn is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lombard is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Lombard stops Severn from getting back to his feet.
Lombard is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Severn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lombard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Severn keeps working.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. The fighters circling - Lombard throws out the jab but it was never going to land. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lombard closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Severn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lombard walks away with a smile on his face. Severn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Lombard scoring well with a low kick there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Severn. Lombard does a little dance to reset his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hank Lombard dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Severn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lombard scores with a crisp jab that stopped Severn in his tracks. Lombard takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Lombard takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Lombard misses with a low kick.
Severn feints the counter takedown. Lombard tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Severn paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hank Lombard is winning the standup battle so far. Lombard lands a head shot. Lombard wants to clinch up but Severn keeps it at a distance. Lombard scores with a decent looking hook. Lombard feints and then cracks Severn's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Severn down. Severn wants to slow Lombard down by chopping away at his legs. Severn checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Lombard attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Severn lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Lombard misses with a kick to the body enabling Severn to counter with a crisp jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Severn slips a jab from Lombard. Lombard moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lombard misses with a hook to the ribs.
Severn blocks a body shot from Lombard. Lombard misses with some punches.
Severn gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lombard.
Lombard lands a nice uppercut. Severn blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Lombard has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Severn after a bit of a struggle. Lombard tries to score a body lock takedown but Severn shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hank Lombard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Severn has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lombard clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Severn slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Severn is hanging on to Lombard's back as he tries to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Severn thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Lombard tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Severn content just to control the position here. Severn tries to control but Lombard wriggling away. Severn is working for a guillotine from mount but Lombard frees his head quite easily.
Severn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lombard is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Severn is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Lombard is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Poor strikes thrown by Severn there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Severn tries to control but Lombard wriggling away. Severn might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lombard haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Severn controlling his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Severn misses with some ground and pound and Lombard recovers position to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Chris Severn will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Lombard checks a low kick from Severn. Lombard throws a quick inside leg kick. Lombard stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Lombard lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Severn moves out of range of the leg kick from Lombard. Lombard moves out of range as Severn throws a body kick.
A good leg kick by Severn. Hank Lombard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick misses from Severn. A solid leg kick lands there for Lombard.
Severn on the wrong end of a nice hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lombard fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Severn has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Lombard pivots, looking for a leg kick but Severn is out of range and Lombard settles back down. Lombard catches Severn with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Lombard fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Severn checks it well. Severn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lombard moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circle momentarily. Lombard darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Nice uppercut lands for Lombard. That snapped Severn's head back.
Lombard throws a leg kick that is checked and Severn counters with a shoot takedown. Lombard fights it but they end up in guard. Lombard working a defensive guard here.
Severn postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Severn looking to pass the guard. Severn wants to stand and escape but instead Lombard has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Severn has his foot on Lombard's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lombard works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lombard passes easily into side control. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Severn wants to control but Lombard postures up. The referee asks Lombard politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lombard prefers to stall for the moment though. Severn is not content to let Lombard control the position. Severn being controlled for a moment. Lombard wants to control but Severn is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lombard is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Lombard working away. Severn is trying to improve his position. Lombard moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Lombard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Severn keeps working. Lombard is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Severn is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lombard goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Severn rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Lombard's guard! Nice work there by Severn! Severn wants to control from the top but Lombard keeps moving. Lombard keeping full guard, as Severn tries to pass. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Severn wants to control from the top but Lombard keeps moving.
And that's the end of the fight! Hank Lombard showed his dominance in that final round. I think Lombard has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Hank Lombard! A relieved looking Hank Lombard thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
