Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mick Slab (ranked 5310 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kubrat Pulev (ranked 7491 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mick Slab! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kubrat Pulev! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slab scores with a takedown into Pulev's guard. Slab throwing strikes but missing. Slab slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Slab seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pulev for as long as he can get away with. Pulev trying to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slab's corner is telling him to maintain position. Pulev controls Slab momentarily but Slab frees himself. Slab chips away with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pulev working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Slab doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Slab manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Slab postures up and lands a big shot to Pulev's brow. Slab stands up over Pulev, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slab is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Slab has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Pulev looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Slab stays in close to Pulev's body and controls the position. Slab stands up over Pulev, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Slab chips away with some ground and pound. Slab distracts Pulev with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Pulev looks winded! Slab postures up and lands a big shot to Pulev's brow. Slab keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Pulev's head. Slab's corner is telling him to maintain position. That's three minutes gone in the round. Pulev can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Slab controls the pace. Slab is in close to Pulev's body, working some short punches and elbows. Slab is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We've been informed that Pulev has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Slab landing some decent shots from guard. Slab is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Slab is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Slab sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slab working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pulev's head. Slab passes Pulev's left leg - he's now in half guard. Slab sitting and controlling from the half guard. Slab lands strikes from half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Slab working over Pulev with some ground and pound. Pulev looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Pulev is trying to stand up here but Slab is controlling him well. Slab winds up and cracks Pulev with a swinging punch to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mick Slab dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Slab is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pulev's half guard. Slab is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pulev sees it coming and defends easily. Slab lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Pulev is trying to control but can't.
Slab takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slab is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Slab will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Slab connects with a couple of short punches. Slab makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slab stands up over Pulev, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Slab gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Pulev is breathing heavily. Pulev takes a shot right to the bread basket. Pulev checks a leg kick. Some wild striking there from Slab.
Slab fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pulev dodges the punch combination from Slab.
Pulev tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Pulev shoots for a takedown but Slab saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. Pulev is looking to break free of the clinch but Slab has double underhooks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slab manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Slab lands a hook that snaps the head of Pulev backwards. Pulev wants to break free but Slab has control.
Slab blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Slab lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Pulev takes a shot to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Slab pushes Pulev back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Slab's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Slab bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pulev's head. Pulev takes the fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slab lands a body shot. Slab tightens his grip and picks Pulev up, before dumping him to the ground. Pulev manages to land in guard. Slab scoring with punches to the head and body. Slab distracts Pulev with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Slab is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Slab could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Slab scoring with some ground and pound. Slab looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Slab's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pulev has momentary wrist control but Slab slips an elbow through the middle. Slab wants to pass the guard but Pulev is keeping the position. Slab is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pulev can do to turn this around? Slab scoring with punches to the head and body. Slab stays in close to Pulev's body and controls the position. Slab distracts Pulev with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Slab trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Slab chips away with some ground and pound. Slab pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pulev is keeping the position for now. Slab content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mick Slab dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Slab lands with a right that hurts Pulev. Pulev looks to clinch but Slab throws a short knee that drops Pulev. This one is all over!
